Responsible for all corporate tax matters related to qualified, welfare, and fringe benefit plans. Corporate tax consultant for Latin America for four years and
Canada for seven years. Responsibilities also included domestic and international tax issues related to executive and director compensation. Other areas of responsibility were employee taxation, environmental tax, payroll and payroll tax, tax-exempt taxation including private foundations, and contributions. Commended performance on results of two large projects.


Tax Manager, Ernst & Young (formerly Arthur Young),
Toledo, Ohio. Reported directly to four tax partners including the Director of Tax. Managed and performed technical review of client service engagements (e.g. tax planning, research and analysis, compliance, agent examinations, and special projects). Consulted with the auditing department on tax matters including review of tax provisions and financial issues and disclosures. Clients included several publicly-traded corporations, large and mid-size manufacturing, retail, banking, software, professional service, C corporations, S corporations, closely-held corporations, partnerships, trusts, employee benefit plans, and individuals.
